There may be a need to use overflow parking which could involve up to an additional 500m walk to Assembly. Do not park in the Recreation Ground public car park. Please obey instructions from marshals. |
| Dog rules: | Dogs are not allowed in the rugby/cricket club (parking and assembly areas). There will be grazing livestock in the competition area, so ensure dogs are on leads at all times. Details
| Description: | Exposed and generally runnable hillside with thickets, areas of gorse, rock outcrops and some steep slopes. Some open fields and woodland. There are numerous single trees, thickets and gorse bushes. Areas of passable low gorse have been mapped as "heavy undergrowth". There are also many areas of "stony ground" but only those areas which are best avoided have been mapped. Please take care in these areas, especially if the ground is wet. Walls and fences must only be crossed at crossing points. The fields on the lower southern slopes marked as Out of Bounds must not be crossed. The short green course has some moderately steep ascents and descents that may be slippery if wet. SI and SIAC (contactless) electronic punching. All competitors must punch the Start and Finish. |

| Course description: | All courses 1:10,000 with 5m contours, except White and Yellow which will be at 1:7,500. Drawn by Trevor Crowe in 2019 (LiDar-based) and updated April 2022. All maps are A3 and loose control descriptions will also be available. The map symbol has been updated from ISOM2017 to ISOM2017-2, which means that: 1. vegetation boundaries are denoted by a dashed green line rather than a series of black dots, 2. forest fight and impassable vegetation are both shown as forest fight, 3. small depressions and pits have a white border for clarification, and 4. small trees and bushes are shown by the same symbol (Green dot with white infill). |
