Course description:Mainly residential urban area with some narrow footpaths and alleyway in addition to the Crew’s Hole woodland and open grassland/heathland area of Troopers Hill Nature Reserve, and old quarry and mining area, with knolls, pits and crags. The rough open land and woodland footpaths can by brambly in June so full leg cover is advised. Footwear with some grip could be advantage (as some areas can be slippery - especially after spell of bad weather). There is a significant amount of climb across the area – especially on the Medium and Long courses.
