Details

Description:Part of BOK's Local event series, scoring towards Club Senior League and Junior League. Rough open parkland with thickets, distinctive trees, and a network of paths, which is muddy in parts. Trail shoes are recommended, also full leg cover as the undergrowth has not noticeably died back over winter. The Short Green, Green and Blue courses will also involve a fair degree of urban terrain - residential streets, urban footpaths; spike O shoes are inappropriate for these courses – ideally you should wear trainers with good grips or trail shoes. 1:5,000 scale map with 5m contours. Clifton & The Downs map drawn by Matt Whipple in 2016 using the Durdham Down map drawn by Duncan Birtwistle in 2012, updated by Trevor Crowe in 2018, amended by Mike Forrest in 2021. Waterproof size A3 with courses overprinted. Loose control descriptions will also be available. Newcomers are advised to familiarise themselves with uncrossable features and out of bounds symbols. (if in doubt ask helpers before starting). Public toilets are situated by the water tower. There will be no toilets at assembly. Please bring your own drink; there are cafés nearby. A first aider will be in attendance in a vehicle adjacent to download.
