Parking information:Linear parking along the Whiteley Hill estate road, accessed from the B2110 midway between the Cowdray Arms and Worth School. Please park as directed, the route to / from the start crosses the busy B2036 (which will be marshalled). Under 16s MUST be accompanied to / from the start. The start is approx 600m from the road crossing, about 150m beyond the finish which is passed en-route. Take care when you leave the event - competitors may be walking back along the road.
Dog rules:Dogs are allowed under control - this is the only part of the Paddockhurst Estate where the public have open access and dog walking is permitted.

Description:Event 5 of the autumn "SOG" series, aimed at SO club members and beginners of all ages. 5 courses on offer, as follows: (with finalised distances). Blue (hard) 5.6km 175m climb; Green (hard) 4.2km, 95m climb; Short Green (hard) 3.1km, 95m climb; Orange (medium) 2.3km, 50m climb; Yellow (easy) 1.4km, 20m climb. Pre-enter via racesignup.co.uk

Courses

Course description:The area is quite undulating with some steep sided stream valleys and technically quite demanding in places too. Mainly quite good runnability, the bracken is dying back but the worst remaining sections (as of 3 weeks before the event) have been marked with the "slow run" or (occasionally) "walk" undergrowth screen. This screen is only a guide though and should not be relied on for fine navigation. As a result of subsequent wind and rain, runnability may well be better than shown...
