The full official results of the World Orienteering Championships Long distance race are available here.

"Before the race I felt well prepared for the technical and physical challenges of the course. On the day, unfortunately, I struggled a lot with performing physically, and was disappointed in my myself. This was made up for by some great bits of terrain which were challenging and interesting to orienteer through, and some great support from the crowd."  Ali McLeod

"Driving to the start through the forest I was really excited about the race to come.  Half way along the Long Leg the wheels started to come off, I struggled to cross the river and regain control.  Things improved from the second control until the 9th when I unfortunately fell foul of the poor map printing and it was just a case of getting to the finish, where I found out I had punched the boys 2nd control."  Hollie Orr

"I am very satisfied with 95% of my race. Good preparation physically and technically. Unfortunately one concentration lapse cost 5 minutes, shortly afterwards my map rubbed off costing an additional 2.5 minutes. I am disappointed to be outside the top 30 but there is a lot of good things to take away from this race."  Alan Cherry
