2017 Sports Club Survey

The Sports Club Survey is a piece of research undertaken by the Sport and Recreation Alliance, in partnership with Sport England, to assess the health of sport and recreation clubs across the country. It features questions on a variety of topics such as membership and volunteer numbers, club finances and the key challenges sports clubs are facing.

The responses to the survey will help provide valuable insight into the current state of clubs, volunteers and coaches that is needed to inform future funding and wider decisions made by Sport England and National Governing Bodies. The Alliance and Sport England will work together to review the results of the survey and seek to address the challenges highlighted by the data.

A sport or recreational club is defined as a group of people who get together regularly to take part in a physical or recreational activity.

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

The club survey is now live and you can access it here.

Clubs who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw where they have the chance to win one of two iPads or one of four £25 vouchers to spend on equipment. An early bird prize draw will be made on 16 November featuring clubs who have completed the survey by then. A second draw will be made during the week commencing 27 November, with a third and final draw made after the survey has closed on 15 December.
