2019 Scottish 6 Days

SCOTTISH 6 DAYS ORIENTEERING
28 July to 3 August 2019

Entries open for next year's Scottish 6 Days event (Strathearn 2019) on
Saturday 1st December.

Colin Matheson Events Manager at Scottish Orienteering Association, says:

"There is a fantastic variety of different terrain types spread across either side of the Highland Boundary Fault.  It has been confirmed that there will be two World Ranking Events, with the complex new area of oak woodland (Dundurn) ideal for Middle Distance and the popular Craig a Barns, the birthplace of Scottish Orienteering, being used for the Long Distance.  This is an event that appeals to everyone, and in addition to orienteering, the area has much to offer including nearby castles, watersports, golf, cycling, walking and other leisure pursuits.  The Wednesday includes Sprint Orienteering in Crieff, the Heart of Strathearn as well as Trail O at nearby Drummond Castle."

Colin continued:  "Thanks to the support from EventScotland we will be broadcasting daily highlights of the event and other related orienteering content."
