UK Orienteering League Race Series - just past the half way point!

We're just past the half way point of the UK Orienteering League season, and the next four races are coming up within the next month.

Firstly, races 14 and 15 of the series take place this week at the Scottish Six-Days competitions in Strathearn. Day 1 (at Auchingarrich) and Day 6 (at Grandtully) are both UKOL races. Those events will see competitors racing in tough Scottish forests against UK and international competitors.

Then, starting on 17th August, there is the Race The Castles 2019 series of events, of which the first two days (in Sheffield on 17th August and Lincoln on 18th August) are UKOL races. The whole Race The Castles series takes place in a variety of terrain types and with different race formats, but Sheffield and Lincoln will both be city centre urban races, in complete contrast to the Scottish
6-Days terrain.

More points up for grabs!

As it stands in the Club competition, South Yorkshire (SYO) has a very small lead over Bristol (BOK), with Octavian Droobers (OD) in third place. That could all change as more runners from each club get at least 12 scoring events needed throughout the event series.
