Gold and Bronze for Great Britain

A unique day yesterday (Sunday 28 July) for British Orienteering with two British Women on the podium at the World Mountain Bike Orienteering Sprint Championships in the complex, cobbled old town of Viborg in Denmark.

Victory for Emily Benham-Kvale returning from maternity to the World Championships competition and wins GOLD with Clare Dallimore winning bronze. Emily crossed the line after a sublime ride in 22.08 with Veronika Kubínová of CZE only four seconds ahead of Clare who crossed in 22.51.

With Jo Pickering in her first serious race in 34th, it will be interesting in the Women's Relay later this week. Ian Nixon after recent injuries fought into the top 40.
