Are you feeling the need to just get out and let off steam and have a long run, gentle jog or a different walk to the usual daily one?

Why not challenge yourself and Get Active this Autumn?

Autumn exercise is important for maintaining physical and mental health and Orienteering is extremely well placed to provide an opportunity for individuals, couples, and families to enjoy in a socially distanced way.

Orienteering is unique in that it can be enjoyed locally and is suitable for ages and abilities. Anyone taking part in Orienteering activity must do so in line with the restrictions in place for the area in which they live. Latest guidance can be found via our COVID-19 web page.

There are also over 500 Permanent Orienteering Courses across the UK providing families with opportunities of discovering the outdoors locally where you live in a socially distanced way. Some clubs have also developed these virtually, so you can simply complete courses with your GPS smartphone or watch. Permanent and Virtual Orienteering Courses can be completed at any time, and at your own pace. You just need to download a map and away you go!

To help you with getting active this Autumn and embrace the outdoors, British Orienteering has designed a new set of FREE downloadable activities for families to do at home, in the garden or in your local green spaces.
