Have fun together with a wide range of different orienteering challenges this Father's Day (Sunday 20 June).

Any plans for Father's Day this Sunday?

If you just want to enjoy being at home or in the garden this Father’s Day, then British Orienteering has a wide range of FREE Orienteering resources and activities for you to download and enjoy some fun family challenges together.

If you fancy getting out in the outdoors this Sunday then a Permanent Orienteering Course is a perfect way of spending a fun and challenging time with family anytime of day.

There are over 500 Permanent and Virtual Orienteering Courses across the UK to select from.  The family challenge is to discover checkpoints in the form of posts or plaques, in forests, heathlands, parks and green spaces across the UK. The combination of physical and mental exercise often in stunning locations is like no other, and what is also great about these courses is that they can be done at your own pace.

Orienteering is very well placed to offer individual or family-friendly adventurous challenges for all ages and abilities.  From courses with permanent markers to discover, to virtual courses that you can complete with your smartphone or GPS watch, there has never been a better time to start your next outdoor adventure with orienteering.

Make a day of it!  All you need to do is choose the area you would like to go to, local or further afield and find a Permanent and/or Virtual Orienteering Course using the search facility.  Download your map and then go!  Find out more here.
