Doune Ponds is a lovely bit of enclosed woodland with numerous footpaths and trails suitable for all abilities.
There are three permanent courses available that increase in technical and physical difficulty. The short course is suitable for all abilities as it makes use of the specially built all-abilities trail around the ponds:
Short - 1.1k
Medium - 1.9k
Hard - 2.3k
Other Things to do in the Area
The wood itself is a great place to enjoy - lots of footpaths, picnic spots and bird viewing areas. The woods are on the edge of the lovely town of Doune which has a Community & Heritage Centre, Distillery, Castle (famous in Monty Python!), and numerous cafes, shops, bars and restaurants.
