The North, South and Scotland Talent Squads have been announced for 2025

British Orienteering is delighted to announce that the Talent Squads (North, South & Scotland) have been selected for the forthcoming season.
The aim of the Talent Squads is to develop 15-18 year olds beyond the Regional Squad level by providing a programme of training, education and coaching which takes a holistic view of their development as athletes, orienteers and individuals. It encourages the athletes to take responsibility for their own plans to improve their orienteering and hopefully acts as a source of motivation and enjoyment for them.
Performance Pathway Manager, Pippa Archer, said:

Our program of workshops and camps is designed to inspire you to become a better orienteer, fulfil your potential, and prepare you to compete on the international stage. Good luck for the coming year!"
As we announce the new squads, this is an excellent opportunity to advertise how you can get involved with supporting our budding elite orienteers. Each Talent Squad is run by two volunteer managers, but additional support for squad training weekends comes from a wide range of sources in the form of local organisers, course planners, control hangers, technical coaches, minibus drivers, and those willing to cook for a hoard of hungry athletes!
