Secure your spot at this year's event which already has thousands of other competitors!
Competitors will explore the diverse urban terrain of the Steel City, passing through several centuries-worth of retail and industrial developments, as well as residential areas including the iconic Park Hill Flats, before finishing in the shadow of the Town Hall.
TrailO on Day 1 will be a combination of a PreO Sprint (A/Z) course and some TempO stations whose results will be combined for the Day 1 classification. P-Class parking will be available, other parking will be limited, but those also doing the JK Sprint should park in the west part of Sheffield to minimise walking.
Look forward to springtime displays of bluebells among the contours in the natural oak woodland which forms much of the area. Patches of maturing shrubs and younger trees growing on reclaimed spoil heaps add some variation, keeping runners on their toes!
Day 2 TrailO will be a PreO course in forest terrain at Hesley Scout Camp, a 5-minute drive (1km walk) from the JK Middle Parking.
Having played host to several British Championships and other major events over the years - including the JK Long back in 1978 - Wharncliffe has proven itself as a rock-hard area, ideal for this year's JK Long.
Having proved itself as an excellent area for head-to-head racing during the British Relay Championships in 2019, the batons are back at Middleton Park for the final day of JK25.
Middleton Park is a varied area, pitted with the remains of coal mining stretching back to the medieval period, including numerous large bell pits scattered throughout the ancient wooded valleys. Add to this a highly detailed path network, and competitors will need to keep their wits about them, from mass start to sprint finish!
