Calling All Coaches – Do You Want to Become an Educator?

• A covering letter outlining your experience and explaining why you wish to become a Tutor and how you meet the expectations set out below.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a video-call interview to discuss how they meet the expectations.

Application Criteria

To become a British Orienteering Education Tutor, applicants should ideally demonstrate:

• Experience of tutoring, teaching, facilitation, lecturing, or assessing
• Hold British Orienteering Coaching or Instructor qualification
• At least 24 months of active and recent coaching experience
• A positive attitude towards the development of coaching & instructing
• A commitment to acting as an ambassador for British Orienteering

While these criteria serve as a guide, applications are welcomed from member who feels they are suitably qualified.

Expectations of an Educator

British Orienteering Educators are expected to:

• Deliver the Education programme to a high standard of professionalism
• Always Represent British Orienteering in a positive and professional manner
• Meet the needs of course candidates
• Hold a British Orienteering Licence to Coach
• Attend additional Continuous Professional Development (CPD) sessions
