About the new campaign

This campaign aims to attract new families, including parents, young children and teenagers, to try out orienteering for the first time.

Many families remain unaware that orienteering courses are available in their local parks, green spaces and even urban surroundings! Orienteering is not just a rural sport. All you need is a map that you can download from the Go Orienteering website and to dress for the great British weather...then you are good to get started!

Family Time, Reimagined—One Checkpoint at a Time

Imagine an adventure with a purpose.

One that is cost-effective, doesn't require you to purchase any new equipment, and boosts key skills such as navigation, map-reading and communication.

Take a 'boring' walk or hike and transform it into the ultimate treasure hunt that is available on demand! Welcome to your new activity: orienteering. Your goal is simple: find all the checkpoints (markers) on a special map.

Come and get involved in a sport that the whole family can enjoy together and where your little ones can make new friends, have fun in the fresh air and most importantly, burn off all that excess energy!

Nature's playground is mapped - now it's time for you to explore it!
