Martyn’s Law (the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025) is now on the statue books
and sports clubs throughout the country are trying to work out what the impact of this new
legislation will be.
Understanding and mitigating the threat of terrorism is crucial for managing publicly
accessible premises, including sports venues. It is important that clubs understand how to
manage the new responsibilities the Act creates, balanced against an already heavy
burden on club volunteers.
We would like to invite you to join the Howden Sport team on Tuesday 19th May for a
webinar about the impact of Martyn's Law on community sports clubs and events. This
event, in collaboration with Clyde & Co and Praxis42, will explore the issue clubs face and
provide guidance to support clubs of all shapes and sizes.
Date: Tuesday 19th May 2026
Time: 18:00 - 19:00
Venue: Hosted via online webinar
