The evolution of the brand reflects the continued growth of the event series and its increasingly important role in introducing new participants to orienteering.
Since launching in partnership with British Orienteering, the series has become a successful platform for engaging runners from outside the sport, attracting competitors from road running, trail running, fell running and endurance disciplines. Through these events, a new audience of brands and participants have experienced orienteering for the first time.
The move to O-Games creates a stronger association with the word ‘orienteering’ itself while supporting ambitions to increase visibility and participation in the years ahead.
Importantly, the partnership has delivered benefits that extend far beyond the event start line.
SportsShoes' reach within the wider commercial running market has helped raise awareness of orienteering among audiences who may not otherwise encounter the sport. The partnership has increased exposure across running media channels, generated extensive social media engagement and created a growing library of high-quality imagery and video content that helps British Orienteering and clubs promote the sport more effectively.

The rebrand also signals SportsShoes' continuing investment in the future of the series and its commitment to growing awareness of orienteering.
"Quid Games has exceeded everything we hoped it would achieve. In our first two years, together we've introduced orienteering in a completely new way and created something that feels genuinely different within the running world.
Quid Games proved the concept. O-Games is where we take it to another level. As the series grows, we're evolving the brand to match our ambition, putting orienteering front and centre while giving us the freedom to create bigger, bolder and more innovative race formats."
Kay Hawke, Partnerships Manager said:
"From day one, our partnership with SportsShoes has been about introducing more people to orienteering in exciting and accessible ways. Together with our clubs, we have delivered unique and fun orienteering events which put the sport in the ‘shop window’ of towns and cities across the UK.
"Through SportsShoes' extensive audience and marketing investment, the partnership is not only attracting participants to O-Games events but also increasing awareness of orienteering among the wider running community, creating valuable promotional content and helping position orienteering as an exciting, modern and accessible sport."
The move to O-Games strengthens that connection with the sport while retaining everything that has made the series such a success. The rebranding has the sport at the forefront of the event, and we're excited to continue growing the events together and inspiring even more runners to discover why orienteering truly is the ‘OG’, the Original Adventure Sport."
The name may be changing, but the mission remains the same: to inspire more people to discover orienteering and experience the excitement of the Original Adventure Sport.
