Here are the results from Day 2 of the European Orienteering Championships 2026.
The long race at the European Orienteering Championships 2026 in Lithuania physically challenged the athletes with large area of very slow forest.
Route choice was key with our men running as far 21km for the 17km course.
Top result in the Men's A was Joshua 32nd with Simon 1 place behind. In Women's A Immy was 41st, Grace didn't start to protect her ankle for the middle race on Saturday. Matthew had a great run on Men's B finishing in 9th meaning that he will be promoted to the A final in the middle.
Spirits are high, with team cinnamon bun baking yesterday. They are looking forward to the rest day and a chance to re-focus on performing well at the middle.
