British Orienteering’s Board formally invites members to the Annual General Meeting, which will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, 5^th October 2024 at The Studio in Birmingham.

Those attending the AGM virtually via Teams should register attendance by 11:00am on 4th October 2024.

The AGM will be followed by a Members Forum to enable wider participation and consultation.

Member’s Open Meeting - Agenda

The Board would like to place the following items on the agenda:

Members, clubs and Associations are also asked to raise any additional strategic items or issues that you would like to be added to the agenda.

Any such requests should be sent for consideration to Peter Hart, Chief Executive (peter.hart@britishorienteering.org.uk) by the 15^th September 2024.

Whilst it may not be feasible to add all such items to the agenda, those items that are of strategic importance and are common to several requests will be added.

The meeting will close at 16:00.

Further details and papers for the AGM and Open Meeting will be circulated as soon as they are drafted.

We are thrilled to announce that the new British Orienteering website will launch next week on Wednesday 5 June 2024.

Over the past year we have been working on a redeveloping the old site to incorporate the core pages and features that our members use on a regularly basis, whilst adapting the site to make it more user-friendly to newcomers that are being introduced to our sport. Watch the promotional video below to get a glance at how your new website is going to look. 

As you will notice there are some slight changes to the navigational menus and we will be releasing another video next week to highlight more details about these changes, as well as a more in depth look at our brand new Club & Membership Toolkit!

We have tidied up the members menu slightly but kept much of it the same replacing only the 'Club Zone' with the new 'Club and Membership Toolkit'. So you will still be able to find all the information you use on a regular basis once you have logged in.

The new Club & Membership Toolkit

Our Club & Membership Toolkit is the new home of where we will keep all of our resources and templates to help our Clubs and members to promote their activities, events, and the sport in general. You will be prompted to login at certain points as you navigate your way around the toolkit. 

Learn more on Club Development, ways to promote your club, and visit our the new Digital Content Hub where members can download and modify templates and assets to use across their own marketing and promotion. You will also find information about inclusion, volunteering and our Annual Awards on this page. 

Hot off the back of World Cup Round 1, which took place in Switzerland this past weekend, we look ahead to the upcoming World Cup Round 2 competition which takes place in Genoa from Saturday 1 June to Sunday 2 June. 

Event programme

The International orienteering competition of World Cup Round 2 will take place in the the historic city of Genoa. Our athletes can expect the terrain to consist of narrow streets and passages with some steep inclines as they strive to complete the courses in the quickest times.
