Zac Randall joins the Board bringing specialist expertise from his career as a sports lawyer.
“In my day-to-day work, I advise national and international sports governing bodies on governance, rules, regulatory issues, and disputes, covering topics from eligibility, safeguarding, and anti-doping to sponsorship and commercial matters,” Zac said. “I look forward to bringing that experience to British Orienteering—supporting strong governance for members and helping promote the continued success and growth of the sport.”

Justine Albert adds extensive experience in major event delivery and sports governance to the Board.
She has spent more than a decade working in international sport, including as Director of Major Events at the International Tennis Federation, where she oversaw the global delivery of the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup. She now works as a freelance Major Events consultant and most recently contributed to this year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup.
“A keen cross-country and marathon runner and the Ladies’ Captain of my local running club, I recently completed my first orienteering event and am looking forward to many more,” Justine said. “As a Board member, I hope to support British Orienteering in shaping its portfolio of events and strengthening event strategy nationwide.”

Gregg Peers brings a strong background in governance, assurance, and safeguarding from his senior leadership experience across the NHS, as well as from his current role within the nuclear submarine sector.
He has also supported sport through voluntary roles with other National Governing Bodies, helping to strengthen governance frameworks, assurance processes, and safe practice.
“Through my role on the British Orienteering Board, I want to use this experience to support volunteers and athletes, strengthen safeguarding, and help secure a sustainable, well-governed future for the sport,” Gregg said.

Chair of British Orienteering, Rob Woods, welcomed the appointments:
"We are delighted to welcome Zac, Justine, and Gregg to the Board. Each brings valuable expertise and fresh perspectives that will strengthen our governance and strategic direction. Their combined experience will be instrumental as we continue to support our members, volunteers, and athletes and grow orienteering across the UK.”
CEO Peter Brooke added:
“These appointments mark an exciting step forward for British Orienteering. Zac, Justine, and Gregg bring a broad range of skills from across sport and beyond, which will help us deliver our strategic priorities, enhance member experience, and ensure the organisation continues to operate to the highest standards of governance and safeguarding.”
