Time to Listen Course attracts large numbers

It's thanks to LondonSport, who have been working with us to increase the standards of safeguarding across the sport. 

The Time to Listen course is mandatory for our Welfare Officers in England and Wales. The CSPU had highlighted it as an area we needed to improve compliance with.

With the 3 sessions, along with others taking the course in their own time (directly with UK Coaching) we've been able to get our numbers much higher and have nearly hit the CPSU target. 

The course has also been great as it's opened a dialogue about safeguarding, which will help to implement higher standards across the sport and embed a safer culture. 

LondonSport helped in delivering the sessions, and we were able to put real orienteering scenarios in the content.
