Using a free smartphone app for android or iphone (Oriento https://oriento.uk), you can walk or run your way round the course, using your phone to take pictures of the QR codes to prove you have visited a control. Then you can upload your results and see how you did compared with other people. You can come back again and again and have as many goes as you want.
