Based on Noddle Hill Way, the site boasts a nature reserve and a fishing lake, accessible via Bransholme Road, also a children's play area and sports pitches accessible via Noddle Hill Way.
Most of the terrain is rough undulating open land with a mixture of prepared and unprepared paths. This is the most challenging, in terms of terrain, of Hull's Permanent Orienteering Courses.

Currently a booklet containing courses in all 8 of the Permanent Orienteering Sites in the city is available from all Leisure Centres, Parks and Libraries in the city as well as from Hull City Hall Box Office and Tourist Information Centre.
