|Carpark location||The car park is on Silverhill Lane just off the B6014 in Teversal. Car park open during daylight hours.|
This picturesque woodland with its mixture of broadleaf and conifer trees, open meadows and ponds were formally two colliery sites. Through a process of coal washing, engineering, landscaping, fertilising and planting Silverhill Wood has been transformed into a beautiful woodland. It also boasts the views from the highest point in Nottinghamshire, definitely worth a visit. The viewpoint is marked by an impressive miner's memorial statue.
