|Carpark location||The car park is on Rivacre Road, close to junction 7 of the M53. It is locked at 5pm but there is limited alternative parking just outside the main car park.|
Rivacre Valley Local Nature Reserve is a green oasis of woodland and meadows close to Ellesmere Port.
Spring, in particular, is a lovely time to visit as the woods are carpeted with celandines and wood anemones, closely followed by bluebells. At other times you can picnic in the colourful meadows.

There is wheelchair access to the Reserve but the anti-motorcycle gates may be inaccessible to larger wheelchairs. There are some steep paths.
Rivacre Valley is within cycling distance of Ellesmere Port. The nearest railway station is at Overpool. The car park is on Rivacre Road, just off junction 7 of the M53.
Other Things to do in the Area
Other country parks nearby include Eastham Woods on the edge of the Mersey - a great place for walks and plenty of cafes to choose from.
Rivacre is 5 minutes drive from the National Waterways Museum (open April to November inclusive), 10 minutes drive from the Blue Planet Aquarium and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and 15 minutes drive from Chester Zoo.
