Parking information:Mulgrave Woods are just north-west of Whitby. Assembly and Registration will be in the Pyman Institute on the sea-front in Sandsend at grid reference NZ 861127. Parking will be in the public parking areas in Sandsend, including the public car park at the foot of Lythe Bank, the parking area to the NW of East Row Bridge and alongside the A174 at Sandsend Beach on the Whitby side of Sandsend. There will be a diagram in the Final Details Facilities: Toilets. Orange juice at the Finish. First Aid at Registration
Dog rules:Well behaved dogs are allowed on leads in the parking areas and can run free on the beach, subject to the usual requirements regarding dogs in public places. Dogs are not allowed out on the courses

Details

Description:Entries: Pre-entry is strongly advised, although there may be some entries on the day depending on map availability. Please enter via the on-line entry system at Fabian 4. A link is onthe CLOK website days. Pre-entries close at midnight on Sunday 26-Jan-2014. The on-line entry system will continue to accept entries until midnight on Thursday 30-Jan-2014 ........ but you will be charged the 'entry on the day' surcharge, and limitations on map availability mean that you will not be guaranteed entry to your chosen course. Paper entries – on a Standard Entry Form – can be sent to the Organiser: Alastair Mackenzie, Mayfield House, Middleton Road, Sadberge, Darlington DL2 1RR Cheques should be made payable to CLOK. The closing date for postal entries is (postmarked) Saturday 25‑Jan‑2014. There will be entry on the day subject to map availability and a surcharge of £1 for Seniors. Registration will be open 10 a.m. ‑ 12 noon.

Course description:Black, Brown, Blue, Green, Short Green, Light Green, Orange, Yellow and White. For the suggested course for your age class, please see this guidance document (PDF format) on the British Orienteering web site. For this event, people who would normally run the Very Short Green course should enter the Short Green course, which will be planned accordingly. We are hoping to provide a free string course, but please check back in about a week for an update
