Details

Description:Our return visit to this unique and intricate sprint area. On the south side of the River Tees, courses will take in the complex 'built' environment of Stockton Riverside College, the Queen's Campus of Durham University and more open parkland. On the north side, the International White Water Park winds around a convoluted water channel with bridges, underpasses, spectator areas and varied landscaping. The areas are joined by iconic crossings at the Infinity Bridge and at the Tees Barrage. Full leg cover is not required for this event. The area includes service roads and car parks, which we expect to be very quiet at the time of the event. The Junior course will avoid these areas. WARNING: By its nature, the venue is close to deep water. The white water course may be in operation. The area is frequently used by the public and appropriate fences and safety equipment are installed ....... but please take care when running close to the river banks You can run a second course for free, but if you intend to do this please try to start your first run early. There is no need to pre-enter for the races, but if you are bringing a group then please contact the organiser in advance so that we can print enough maps White Water Centre with toilets and cafe adjacent to registration We will not be providing orange juice or water at the finish.
