Details

Description:Terrain: Well-contoured mixed woodland with some detailed areas of mining remnants and a good path network. There is significant undergrowth in some areas, so leg protection is recommended. The longer courses will extend on to Ayton Moor. Depending on the weather conditions, cagoules and whistles may be compulsory. Map: 1:10,000 scale. A4 size. The maps will be printed on waterproof paper. Control descriptions will be printed on the map. Facilities: Toilet near Registration. First Aid at Registration. Please supply your own drinks. Safety: Please make sure that you download even if you do not complete your course. LONE DRIVERS: Please complete the "Lone Drivers" form and leave your labelled car keys at Registration. CLOK strongly recommends that you carry a whistle whilst participating in this (and every) orienteering event. Dog walkers, horse riders and cyclists may be in the area.
