Course description: | The Mini course should be suitable for novices. The Mini and Short courses are entirely off road and so Juniors can run unaccompanied. There are minimal road crossings, even on the longer courses, and no courses will require orienteers to cross busy roads but even though the maximum speed limit is 20mph on these roads you should always remain vigilant for traffic including cyclists and E-scooters. None of the courses should experience a climb of greater than 25m, although it may not feel like that as the campus is located on the side of a steepish hill leading up to the Downs plateau to the south-east, which sits approx. 100m above sea level. |
