Join In is a registered charity that helps UK grassroots sports clubs attract more supporters and volunteers from their local communities. They do this by matching people to fun, interesting and rewarding volunteering opportunities at clubs in their area.
There are lots of orienteering clubs already registered on www.joininuk.org check to see if your club is registered.
Sports Volunteering Network
The Sports Volunteering Network connects potential volunteers with their local county sports partnership (CSP).
Whether you’re a club searching for volunteers, looking for training or support or just interested in getting involved in volunteering in sport your county sports partnership can help. The network allows you to register as a club and offer volunteering opportunities.
The Sports Volunteering Network will automatically direct you to the appropriate CSP sign up page.
It's a good idea to provide role outlines for volunteers in your club so that volunteers know exactly what their role and contribution will be. It will also help clubs to identify volunteers who have the correct skills and attributes for that position.
The Club Leaders project is about supporting you in the business of running your club. It is completely free of charge and open to anyone involved in sports club management. Primarily the vision of Club Leaders is to achieve a stronger sporting club network stretching all over England. We want you to be part of this! We know that the people behind the scenes are the backbone of sports clubs and this programme is here to support you, saving you time and providing tips to save money this two year project is part of the Sport England Places People Play Olympic legacy programme.
Training and support is provided in the following ways
Online - Online modules, news, forums, events and a dynamic networking platform to help clubs communicate with each other and share ideas!
Seminars - Face to face seminars led by subject matter experts across the country
Mentoring - One to one mentoring available to focus on those clubs most in need
