But 2023 is ages away – why are you telling me this now?

You’re right! We only process our direct debits once a year, this will happen in early December 2022 for the 2023 membership year. So, no payment will be taken from your bank account until then.

However, we do need to have everything ready to go. This means that all 2023 mandates must be signed and returned to the British Orienteering head office by the end of October 2022.

What if I’ve already registered for Direct Debit?
Well, that’s just great! Your membership will automatically renew in early December 2022, for the 2023 membership year. You only need to complete a mandate once.

Do I have to do this?
If you prefer to renew using a different method, that’s absolutely fine. All you will need to do is log in to your British Orienteering account and make a payment with a debit or credit card once the renewal process opens on the 1st November 2022 - more information on this will be shared in due course.
