It is with the deepest sadness and regret that we announce the sudden passing of the former Chief Executive and colleague Mike Hamilton earlier this week.

Mike has been involved in sport throughout his life as a participant, performer, volunteer and professional. Mike had been Chief Executive of British Orienteering for 11 years and retired in 2017.

Sport had been his central to his life, he started his career as a PE teacher after studying at Loughborough University. He also played cricket and hockey and moved into coaching hockey at all levels from beginners to Olympic squads.
