The Importance of Strength and Conditioning for the Older Orienteer Webinar

The next in British Orienteerings 2023 series of live webinars is titled 'The Importance of Strength and Conditioning for the Older Orienteer' and takes place on Monday 17 April 2023 at 7pm.

Join us on this webinar, delivered by Dr Sarah Rollins, on why strength and conditioning is important as you get older. Dr Sarah will show us a typical programme and demonstrate the exercises to equip and support us in our own personal training, allowing the older orienteer to thrive.

The session will look at how to:

  • Develop strength, balance and control for orienteering and running
  • Reduce muscle and joint aches and pains as we age
  • Restore strength to a muscle or lower limb after previous injury
  • Potentially reduce the risk of falls (only potentially, because if you move faster (because you can), you may be more likely to fall!)

With 284 registered, this webinar is now full and registration is closed. A recording of the webinar along with a copy of the presentation will be available on our Webinar page, soon afterwards.
