It’s been another fantastic year for British Orienteering and our clubs. We have enjoyed see how our clubs have thrived this year and how our members have enjoyed a vast array of orienteering events.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and efforts to make orienteering a fun and exciting sport to be a part of.

Soon another membership renewals season will be upon us and from 1 November 2023, members will be able to renew their membership with us online, continuing to enjoy our range of membership benefits and discounts. Get ahead and set up a direct debit payment with us today and take the stress out of managing your membership towards the end of the year!

Why should I set up a direct debit?

Once you sign up via direct debit payment, your membership will automatically renew each year. Our form is easy to complete and backed by the Direct Debit Guarantee, making it a safe & secure payment method. You can, of course, cancel your direct debit at any time, by contacting your bank or building society.

How do I do it?

Simply download the below form and return to the office via email or post.

Why now?

We process our direct debit payment once a year in early December for the following year. By having the direct debit payments in advance, we are able to make the process more seamless, which is why we have put a deadline of midnight Friday 29 September for all requests to be submitted.

Please note that no payments set up for direct debit will be taken from your account until January 2024.

I already have a direct debit payment set up – do I need to do anything else?

No. If you already have a direct debit payment set up with us, your membership with automatically renew in January 2024.

I’d prefer to renew my membership another way.

If you would prefer to renew your membership in another way, you can do so via the following methods:

Online

Membership renewals will go live on 1 November 2023.

Any member that has not set up a direct debit, will appear as lapsed at this point when logging into your online account.

If you wish to renew your membership online for 2024, you will simply need to login to your account and select the box that says “renew”.

Please note that no additional payment will be taken until January 2024 and your current membership will run as normal until 31 December 2023.

Cheque

We still accept membership payments via cheque. Members wishing to renew their membership for 2024, should return the renewal form that they will have received previously, and a cheque made payable to British Orienteering to the National Office.

If you no longer have your renewal form, please telephone the National Office to obtain your fees.
