Following on from the success of the online Development Conference in 2022, we are pleased to announce that the Development Conference will also be online. The intention is to hold the Webinar/workshops over a 4-week period beginning on Monday 8 January 2024.

We will be using the Teams Webinar platform and each session will have a particular focus on Club development.

As well as examples of what clubs are doing on the ground, there will also be sessions focused on Coaching and Skills development.

If you are someone who wants to help your club to thrive, increase membership, reach out to a new audience or support and reward your volunteers, develop new Coaching ideas and delight your members then there will be something for you! We also plan to have updates for Key Event Officials.

The Theme behind this Development Conference is to look at how clubs can thrive and support the key themes with the British Orienteering Strategic plan. The aim is to prompt some key actions for your club to thrive during 2024 and beyond to continue to work and be stronger together developing our fantastic sport.

The Development Conference programme information, including how you can book your place will be made available on the British Orienteering website and news channels toward the end of October.
