| Parking information: | The paddock we shall be using at Orchard Cottage is accessed via a track heading east off the A285, at the junction of Selhurstpark Road. This is right at the brow of the hill and as the A285 can have fast traffic please slow down and indicate in good time. The access track is bumpy (and puddley after wet weather), please drive slowly and park as directed. |

Details
| Description: | Event 1 (of 3) of the Sunny Sussex Weekend. A middle distance event in the northern half of Eartham Wood, which comprises mainly runnable "white" beechwoods on the dip slope of the South Downs. The map was produced in 2023 by Dave Peel for SO's annual National Event and this part of the area has not been used since. We are fortunate to be able to use the same paddock for parking / assembly in the NW corner of the map, which includes a purpose built toilet block and showers.
