Parking information: | Parking will be in the public car park at Hardwick Country Park. The entrance to the car park is from the A177 at grid reference NZ 346287 and the postcode is TS21 2DN. ollow the Brown road direction sign at the roundabout on the A689 near to Sedgefield. You will need to buy a parking ticket from one of the machines in the car park. The charges are £2 for 2 hours or £3 for all day. The Start will be near the overflow car park (which is beyond the main car park). |

Description: | Covid-19: This event is being run in accordance with the British Orienteering guidance for resumption of orienteering in England. In order to participate in this event you must agree to comply with the Participant Code of Conduct. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no Registration at the event. If you wish to participate in this event you must pre-enter via the CLOK online entry system on the CLOK website. Terrain: The main part of the park has a good path network around a central lake with some small sections of woodland and a variety of man-made features. A tunnel under the A177 leads to an extensive area of open grassland with scattered trees.Map: 1:6,000 scale A4 size. The maps will be printed on waterproof paper. The control descriptions will be printed on the maps. Loose copies will not be available at the event, but you can use the links above to download electronic copies. Please use the provided hand sanitiser before taking your map in order to avoid any risk of contaminating other people's maps. Punching system: SPORTident electronic punching will be used. The control boxes will be activated to enable SIAC cards to operate in touch-free mode ..... but please note that you will need to punch the old-fashioned way at the Start and Finish. As part of the arrangements to prevent the spread of coronavirus, SI-cards will not be available for hire on the day. CLOK members without their own SI-cards can arrange long-term hire of an SI-card until the end of 2020 for £5. If you wish to do this, please contact Marion Archer (marion.archer45@gmail.com) giving your name and how you would like to collect the card. Your hire card can be sent by post (supply your address) or you can arrange to pick it up at an event (indicate which event). The cost will be added to your account in the CLOK online entry system. |
