| Parking information: | PLEASE SHARE TRANSPORT IF POSSIBLE!!! We are expecting a large turnout given that Eartham has been unused for 10 years, is lovely and runnable, has a brand new LIDAR based professionally produced map and there is very limited Orienteering alternatives in Southern England the same day. Our car parking field is not huge and finding overflow car parks in this location is problematical. Thank-you! |

| Description: | SO are thrilled to be returning to Eartham Wood to host the Final SE league event of the 2022/23 season. The area is delightful, consisting mainly of runnable beechwoods and has been fully resurveyed map by Peel Land Surveys using LIDAR data in March 2023. Full range of Colour Coded courses from White to Black, which are age class specific as per SE League rules. |

Courses
| Course description: | Eartham Wood is once again a lovely runnable beechwood, just as it was 30 or 40 years ago - the brambles seen 10 or 20 years ago have magically disappeared!!! It is largely on a south-facing slope and has a gridded track network in much of the area. There are lots of ground features (mainly depressions and pits) and the area is dissected by Stane Street (connecting Chichester to London), one of the finest remaining examples of a Roman Road. All courses will have some climb (the area rises some 150 metres from bottom to top), but the rises and falls are gradual - no steep slopes.
