Annual Squad Awards

This year the Mike Wells Cole trophy winner for the Best Senior Performance of the year has been awarded to Cat Taylor for her performances at WOC 2015 where she achieved a 5th place in the middle distance and a 6th place in the long distance.  Cat lives in Sweden and demands a huge amount from herself not only in competitions but also every day of the year in training.  It was great to see all her hard work deliver two podium places at WOC 2015 and then a few weeks later to see yet another strong performance when she had her first world cup race win. A worthy winner of this award.

Jess Tullie (pictured) has been awarded the prize for the Most Improved Senior. Jess’s season got off to a strong start when, in January, she raced in the Tasmanian World Cup races and came 16th in first ever long distance international.   Jess has had a strong domestic season winning both the middle and long distance W21E titles but this award is given to her for her performances at WOC 2015. Jess delivered an outstanding 17th place in the middle distance  and then despite being a late substitution delivered a second strong race the following day in the relay.

Congratulations to Cat and Jess!
