Junior Development Meeting - Saturday 5th March, Birmingham

In response to requests at the Club and Association Conference and in light of significant changes to Sport England's remit in the new Government Sport Strategy, Sporting Futures, a meeting is being held to discuss junior orienteering development. 

The main aim of this meeting is to look at ways of encouraging the movement of Juniors from the School/League activities on into Clubs and main stream Orienteering. There is a vast untapped source of youngsters in the country with many Orienteering volunteers working with them. 

Club and association representatives are invited to attend the meeting being held at The Church at Carrs Lane, Birmingham on Saturday 5th March. Places are limited and interested parties are asked to book as soon as possible by emailing info@britishorienteering.org.uk providing name and club or association representing. Closing date for bookings is 31st January 2016. Due to the limited space and in order to get a broad view from across England, places will be limited to one per club or association, additional delegates can register to be added to the waiting list and any spaces left following the closing date will be filled on a first come first served basis.

Tea and coffee refreshements will be provided however delegates are asked to provide their own lunch and cover their expenses.
