Club, Volunteer and Mapping Awards

It is great to see the nominations come in and hearing stories of all the great work clubs and members are doing the length and breadth of the UK.

But have we heard from you yet? We would love to.

Maybe you are thinking, the nomination will take too long and we probably won't win anyway (that's how I feel about my runs, but it doesn't stop me from entering!)

Not True!

The online nomination is now quick and easy to complete, with a 600-word limit.

Yes, each category has one winner, but we celebrate and recognise the efforts and achievement of all the award nominees.

The British Orienteering Awards are a perfect way for you to celebrate and promote the efforts and achievements of your club and members.

With 13 different categories to choose from there is an award to fit your club or a particular individual/s who has contributed greatly to your club and the sport.

Here are the links for further info and the nominations forms:

Club and Volunteer awards (including the new Respect the Environment Award – Can your club/member be the first to receive this award!)

Mapping Awards

All those nominated and those who have taken the time to nominate will receive a letter of thanks and a small token of our appreciation.

Like last year, we will be presenting the awards just before the JK Sprint medal ceremony, where there is a fantastic atmosphere. The awards will also be announced and celebrated online along with stories from all the nominees.

Nomination deadline is Sunday 5 March, so there is still plenty of time to contemplate, then nominate!

We look forward to seeing the nominations pile in!
