The next university orienteering club to feature in our new blog series, is Oxford University Orienteering Club! Here club members Samuel Leadley and Harry Stuart share what a typical week looks like, why they joined, and what advice they would give to people looking to join their club. 

As we head into the new academic year, now is the perfect opportunity to highlight the incredible work of our university orienteering clubs! So, if you are preparing for (or going back to!) university this year, read first hand why taking up orienteering at university is a great way to explore and get involved in our fantastic sport! We interviewed Sheffield Universities Orienteering & Fell Running Club (ShUOC) to find out more about why the value orienteering so much, how getting involved has led to them competing on a National and International level, and the skills they have gained as individuals.

The Welsh multiday orienteering festival, Croeso, took place last week from 21-27 July 2024. With six days of exhilirating orienteering taking place in Bannau Brycheiniog, we spoke to some of the organisers of the events to gather their thoughts on how the event unfolded.

With the backdrop of the World Championships and WOC Tour in Edinburgh, people from across the UK were also enjoying sampling Orienteering with a range of opportunities across the weekend.
