| Course description: | M/W: Open, Vets (40+), Super Vets (55+), Ultra Vets (65+), Hyper Vets (75+), Junior (16-), Young Junior (12-). Sorry, there is no String Course (but a playground is nearby). Due to road crossings, those under 16 on the day of competition must run one of the junior classes. Courses with controls are printed on waterproof map. Loose control descriptions available. Beginners are welcome.
Courses take in the intricate newly developed urban areas of Portishead Port Marine and Village Quarter. Junior classes (newcomers, MW-12) are away from public roads in parkland with a single quiet and managed crossing. The MW-16 course will include some quiet residential roads with significant traffic calming measures. |
