| Description: | Event 4 of the Autumn 2021 SOG series (Southdowns Orienteers club league). 4 courses - Blue (hard), Green (hard), Orange (medium) and Yellow (easy). Newtimber Hill has been newly remapped after a long break. It is a steep-side hill, the perimeter slopes are a mix of mature beechwood and scrub, whilst on the top is it largely open downland (very runnable) with scattered thickets (with fantastic views). Note: - there is expected to be an uphill walk to the start to reach the nicest parts of the area. |
