Looking Back at 2020: Overview Snapshot - from the month of October 2020

NI October Outdoors

Successful four week Virtual Orienteering Development Programme – with an average of 386 people completing Virtual Orienteering Courses each week.

The month of October saw the announcement of British Orienteering Talent Squad 2020/2021.

National campaign to promote Permanent and Virtual Orienteering Courses, download free orienteering activities and get a chance to win fabulous prizes.

British Orienteering welcomed 80 attendees to latest webinar

From experiences of returning to traditional events to virtual leagues – the webinar was held on Tuesday 20 October 2020 and enabled 80 attendees from across the home countries to hear directly from club volunteers about their club experiences as well as listen to the latest national picture from British Orienteering presented by Natalie Weir and Ric Gamble.

  • Spooktacular pre-lockdown at Hatch Warren and Beggarwood in Wessex.
    This event was organised by Basingstoke and Andover District Orienteering Club (BADO) for the second event in the 2020-21 Wessex Night League. Club members present included those from Southern Navigators (SN), Wimborne Orienteers (WIM), Wessex Orienteers (WSX), Sarum Orienteering Club (SARUM), Southampton Orienteering Club (SOC), Thames Valley Orienteering Club (TVOC) and the winner from South London Orienteers (SLOW).  Find out more here.
