Dog rules:	The area is popular with walkers. Dolebury Warren usually has sheep or cattle grazing. Dogs must always be on a lead.

Course description:	A Red course is offered specifically aimed at runners with no orienteering experience, or less experienced orienteers wanting a longer run. The course remains on paths and offers straightforward navigation – think of it as a Park Run combined with a treasure hunt! Course length is along the expected route. Map: • 1:5,000 scale with 5m contours. • Drawn by Trevor Crowe with updates in 2025/26. • Waterproof size A3/A4 with courses overprinted. • Loose control descriptions will also be available. Terrain: Dolebury is an ancient hill fort with open areas on the top and woodland on the slopes around the fort, some very steep in places. Runnability is variable with some areas of brambles that are best avoided. Paths and steep slopes can be muddy and slippery grippy shoes are strongly advised.
