| Parking information: | Parking will be in the Bassleton Court Shops car park, adjacent to The Griffin pub in Thornaby. At the "spitfire roundabout" on the A1045 in Thornaby, turn west on to Bader Avenue. Just after passing The Griffin pub on your right, turn right into Newton Road and look for the car park on your right. The grid reference of the entrance to the car park is NZ 450156 and the What3words reference is ///stove.leaned.scan. The Griffin's postcode is TS17 0EH. If the car park is full, please park considerately on nearby residential streets. The Start will be 700 metres from The Griffin pub. Allow 10 minutes at a steady walk. The Finish will be close to the Start. Important note: The walk to the Start involves crossing several roads. Although traffic on these roads is light, parents are advised to accompany young children to the Start and back from the Finish. The Download tent will be adjacent to the Finish, and children can wait there if that suits you. (You may wish to leave some warm clothing and a drink at the back of the Download tent.) Toilet in The Griffin (from 10 a.m.). First aid at Download. No drinks will be provided. Please bring your own. The Griffin will be serving a carvery lunch from 12 noon. There is a Morrisons Daily mini-supermarket adjacent to the car park. |
