These insights will be used to inform future access planning and, in due course, help shape conversations with landowners. We hope this will enable clubs and British Orienteering to continue building strong relationships with landowners and to promote access to land for events at all levels.
By sharing your regional knowledge, we can gain a better understanding of the areas available in your region, along with any opportunities or challenges they may present. This will help us plan more effectively and support the long‑term sustainability of access to areas used for events.
This insight request continues from an initial request that was circulated in early 2025. Thank you to all the clubs that completed the form at the time, unless your suitable areas have changed, we do not require you to respond to us again. If you are yet to repsond, please see how to get in touch below.
If your club does not have any suitable Level A or Level B areas, please either complete the below form or email Gracie Grant (Access Officer), to let us know. This is just as important as clubs informing us of the areas that they do have.
Please may we ask that you provide the following information:
- Your Club Name
- Your Association
- Details of each of the areas in your region suitable for Level A or Level B events (please list all that are relevant):
- Area name
- Location
- Landowner
- Suitability for Level A or Level B events
- When it was last used
- Any other related thoughts or comments you would like to make on these areas
Below you will find three options for sharing these details with us, please use whichever is easiest for you:
- Via a Microsoft Form - best for those that have all the information available at hand
- Via a Word Document - Please complete this form and email it across to Gracie Grant (Access Officer) at ggrant@britishorienteering.org.uk
- In an email - Please feel free to type up the suitable areas in your club's region in an email and send this to Gracie Grant (Access Officer) at ggrant@britishorienteering.org.uk
If you would like to start collating this information, and come back to it later once you have further information, we would suggest using the Word Document and saving this to your own device or as an email where it can be stored as a draft. If you start a Microsoft Form, your data may not be saved for you to come back to later.
Many thanks in advance for your insight and support.
